Foundable vs Wix: an AI employee who runs the business, or a website builder with AI agents

Foundable publishes this comparison and is one of the two products in it, so read it as our view. Every fact about Wix below comes from Wix's own pages, read on November 3, 2026, and linked where it appears; check them, since they change. The short version: Wix is a website builder with AI on top, where you design the site and approve what its AI agents prepare. Foundable gives you Ted, an AI employee who builds the website and keeps running the business in the background, asking first until you let him act on his own.

What each one is

Wix builds websites, with an AI builder that goes "from a prompt to a business-ready website" (AI website builder) and an AI marketing agent for "SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, and paid ads" (marketing agent). Its separate Symphony is "an AI agent platform built for independent business owners", with agents for outreach, marketing, scheduling, research, finance and design.

Foundable gives you Ted, your AI employee. You tell him the idea; he builds the website, takes payments through a Stripe account in your name, writes posts and emails, and, when you start Run, runs the business on his own in the background, doing the next most useful thing again and again while you see what he is doing and thinking.

How Foundable does the work

  • Ted is the one you talk to, in the app or by text from your phone. He turns the idea into a short plan: the customer, the offer and the first thing worth testing.
  • Build makes the website, shows you a live preview, keeps every version and publishes it.
  • Run is Ted running the business: improving the site, finding customers, writing and sending the posts and emails, and writing up what he learns.
  • Payments puts Buy buttons on your site that take payments through your own Stripe account.

Everything Ted does is recorded, so you can see what he did and why, and stop a run at any time.

When Wix is the better choice

Choose Wix if you want to design the website yourself, down to the pixel, with a large app marketplace, a bigger online store and many collaborators on one site. It also suits an owner who wants every post, email and ad approved before it goes out, which is how Wix's agents work.

When Foundable is the better choice

Choose Foundable if you would rather describe the business than design it, and have an employee keep it running: Ted builds the website, takes payments into your own Stripe account, and works on customers, posts and emails in the background, asking first until you let him act on his own.

Questions

Is Foundable a Wix alternative?

For a small business that wants a website and help running it, yes. Wix is the stronger hands-on website builder; Foundable puts an AI employee in charge of building the site and running the business, with you approving what goes out.

Can I publish for free?

Yes, on both. Wix's free plan publishes a site with Wix ads and a Wix address, and a custom domain needs a Premium plan (Wix). Foundable's Free plan publishes your website at its own foundable.app address.

Can I move my Wix website to Foundable?

Tell Ted about the business and point him at your current site. He builds a new website from it, which you publish at its own address or on your domain. Your Wix site stays with Wix until you close it.
