Built it on Lovable? How to get your first customers

Foundable publishes this guide, and Foundable is one of the options in it, so read it as our view. Every fact about Lovable below comes from Lovable's own documentation, read on November 3, 2026, and linked where it appears; check it, since it changes. The short version: the app was the first half. The second half is a clear customer, an offer, a way to reach people and a reason to pay. Lovable now helps with that half itself; the work that remains is doing it every week.

Start with one customer and one offer

Before any tool, write down who the app is for, what problem it solves for them and what you will ask them to pay. A page that says this plainly, with one button, gives every post, message and ad something to point at. If you can't name the first ten people who might use it, find them before you spend on ads.

Use what Lovable already gives you

Lovable's growth tools are "available on all plans" and help you "find customers and grow your business with Lovable" (growth tools). They include:

  • Search and AI search: a review of your app's SEO, with Google Search Console connected (SEO and AI search).
  • Analytics: visits, sources and top pages, counted from the moment you publish (analytics).
  • Ads: campaigns on Google, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, where "Lovable does not create a campaign or change it without your approval" (ads).
  • Outreach: communities, directories and creators to reach, with posts and messages prepared for you (growth tools).
  • Payments: subscriptions and one-time payments through Stripe or Paddle (payments).

What is still left to you

Lovable's tools prepare the work; you carry it out. Its docs say "Posts and messages for social media or outreach are drafts for you to publish or send", "It does not continually change campaigns on its own", and "Growth tools do not run email campaigns or referral programs" (growth tools). Its app emails cover sign-in and other transactional messages, not newsletters or promotions (emails). So the weekly rhythm is yours: post, reply, follow up with people who showed interest, email the ones who signed up, and decide what to try next from what the numbers say.

If you enjoy that work, or the app's users come from a few channels you already know, Lovable's tools may be all you need.

Hand the ongoing work to an AI employee

If the weekly work is what stalls, give it to Ted, Foundable's AI employee. He doesn't replace your Lovable app: it stays the product. Ted plans the audience and the offer with you, Build makes a page that sells the app, Payments takes the payment through a Stripe account in your name, and Run has Ted run the business in the background, bringing people to it.

In Run, Ted works out the next most useful thing and does it: finding customers, writing and sending posts and emails, following up, and writing up what he learns. By default each email and post waits for your approval; switch Run to On its own and he sends and posts himself where you allowed it. Everything he does is recorded, so you can see what he did and why.

Questions

Does Lovable have marketing tools?

Yes. Its growth tools cover search, analytics, ads, outreach and payments on every plan. Posts and outreach messages are drafts you publish or send, and ad campaigns change only with your approval.

Can Foundable work with an app I built on Lovable?

Yes. The Lovable app stays the product. In Foundable, Ted builds the page that sells it and takes payments through your own Stripe account, then runs the marketing that brings people there. Foundable vs Lovable compares the two in full.

Do I need both?

No. If you will do the weekly marketing yourself, Lovable's growth tools help you do it. If you want it done for you, with your approval until you trust it, that is the job Foundable gives Ted.
