Bring your business to Ted
- Published
Moving a business to a new tool usually means building it again. With Foundable, you tell Ted where your website is, and he brings it over. Then he keeps the business running, from the website to the posts and emails, while you see what he is doing and why.
What Ted brings over
- Your website, from its address. Ted reads it to learn your business, then copies it as it is or redesigns it with your pictures and logo.
- Your business. From what he reads, Ted writes a plan for the business and names it.
- Your logo. Foundable takes the logo on your own website (start your business).
What changes for your money
Your customers pay into a Stripe account in your name. Foundable isn't the seller and takes no fee on your sales; Stripe charges its own (Terms). See who takes a cut of your sales for how that compares.
How to switch
- Start free. Sign up; Foundable is free to start.
- Choose I have a website and type its address. Ted reads your website to learn your business, and builds no new one unless you ask.
- Ask Ted to bring it into Foundable, as it is or redesigned.
- Turn on payments when you're ready: Foundable sets up a Stripe account in your name (Payments).
- Bring your domain once your new website is published, by connecting a domain you own (your own domain). Pricing shows which plans include it.
What stays behind
Ted brings over what your website shows. Your old platform keeps what it holds: money in your account there, subscriptions your customers pay through it, and its own web address. Check its help pages for how to take those with you, and cancel there once your new website is live.
Questions
Does it cost anything to switch?
Foundable is free to start, and its plans are listed on the pricing page.
Will my old website go offline?
Not because of Foundable: your old platform decides that. Keep it running until your new website is published, then point your domain to the new one.
Does Ted change my old website?
No. Ted reads it and leaves it as it is. Build shows it as your external site, which Ted reads but never changes (start your business).
